about

This song is in protest of the recent abuses of power by the Supreme Court of the United States. As I write this, it looks like there is a very real possibility of the court overturning Roe v. Wade.
This is wrong, for a million reasons, and could have disastrous consequences for millions of people.

lyrics

Our domestic supply of monsters
Keeps the good awake at night
They swing their sickles of treason
Try to cut away our rights
But we know the rights of the many
Outweigh the beliefs of the one
If they really want to try it
We will do what must be done
Your gavel is not God’s hammer
And your bench is not a throne

This is our land, leave us alone
Every state is somebody’s home
These are their bodies, leave them alone
It’s not your business how we make love
Some black and some white, leave us alone
Within this nation we’re free to roam
These are our lives, just leave us alone
Keep your hands off the bodies we own
Your gavel is not God’s hammer
And your bench is not a throne
